THEY CLIMBED OUT OF THE VAN AT ABOUT 7:30 LAST NIGHT. THEIR FLIGHT HAD BEEN DELAYED A COUPLE OF HOURS IN ATLANTA. THEN THERE IS THE EVER PRESENT TRAFFICE IN MOSCOW, FOLLOWED BY THE TRIP TO SMOLENSK WHICH IS FUN.
WE HAD SUPPER AT A PLACE CALLED "CHILI PIZZA". IT'S A NEW PLACE THAT OPENED IN THE WINTER. NOT BAD AT ALL. LUDA'S FAMILY MET US THERE AND IT WAS A NEAT REUNION.
IT'S ABOUT 11 A.M. RIGHT NOW AND JEFF IS STILL ASLEEP. I AM NEVER ABLE TO DO THAT WHEN I FIRST GET HERE. JEB AND LUDA WILL BE STAYING OVER AT HER APARTMENT. THEY CAN DO THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE MARRIED. GONNA MEET UP LATER AND BUY SOME GROCERIES. LUDA WILL COOK FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS GREEEEAAAAAATTTT NEWS.
I UNDERSTAND YA'LL ARE DOING THE 4TH OF JULY THING AT UNCLE MARKS. WHATEVER YOU DO. EAT SOME WATERMELON. WHATEVER THE COST. I'M GOING TO FIND ONE SOMEWHERE HERE TODAY. THEY ARE NOT REALLY OUT YET HERE, BUT YOU GOTTA DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO.

ReplyDeleteGordon is a funny guy.... Tell Jeff to watch out for kitchen fires. The view out of your apartment is really great. I have always loved to look out of high building windows in cities. It is sort of calming to me to see people running around below you- but you can just stand there and watch. Last Sunday went really great! We were really excited about it - although I am sure by now you have heard that Heath could not stay for the service. I am sure Jeff will tell you about that..... It is weird to see Jeff in those pictures in Russia when I was talking to him just a couple days ago and I basically spent the whole week with him ( including making him get up at 6 am 2 times... to which he says he now hates me and Amy....) Pray for this Sunday. It is just not the same without all of you guys here. we already miss you. I do however rest in the promise that where 2 or more of us are gathered to worship God- He is there in the midst of us! Love you guys and we are praying for you everyday! Todd
