I'VE BEEN ASKING YOU TO PRAY FOR OUR FRIEND JOHN CREMEANS AT FELLOWSHIP CHURCH IN GLEN MILLS, PA. WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU HIS RESIGNATION LETTER AND ASK YOU TO CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR HIM, HIS FAMILY AND FELLOWSHIP.
To my Fellowship Family:
Thank you so much for the support you have shown me and my family over the last four months. This time has given me an opportunity like never before to reflect and listen to God.
I’ve always taught that our plans, as good as they may seem, are not always God’s plans.
So today, based on God’s leading, I am stepping aside as your pastor.
This has been the most agonizing decision that I’ve ever had to make.
While my future is not totally clear, I do know this - God has me in this transition for two reasons.
The first is to get emotionally healthy. As you know, I’ve been struggling with depression. Recently, I was diagnosed with the mood disorder Bi-polar II. God has given me a new heart and passion for those of you who struggle with emotional and mental health issues.
The second reason for my resignation is the incredible love I feel for Fellowship Church: I love you guys way too much to leave you without a lead pastor for any longer.
I love you and this church more than I could ever try to put into words. My greatest joy has been to see lives changed and to watch you grow. My heart will always be here. This is where my dream started eight years and seven months ago.
I hope that you will stay faithful to the vision of redefining church, knowing that greater things are yet to come.
With much love,John
