THE AIRPORT IS SO BACKED UP HERE BECAUSE OF THE SNOW AND FOG THAT I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO WAIT. I TALKED TO DEMA BLAGAEV YESTERDAY (HE IS THE GUY WHO ORIGINALLY INTRODUCED US TO LEONID IN ADYGEA) AND I WILL BE LEAVING TO MEET HIM IN PSKOV THIS MORNING. PSKOV IS A CITY ABOUT 2 HOURS FROM HERE THAT IS RIGHT ON THE ESTONIAN, RUSSIAN BORDER. I THINK IT WILL WORK OUT PERFECTLY. I WILL GO ON TO SMOLENSK FROM THERE AND THEN DOWN SOUTH JUST BEFORE I RETURN HOME. DEMA HAS THE SAME KIND OF HEART AS WE DO ABOUT REACHING UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS. WE WANT TO FIND THE NEXT PLACE GOD HAS FOR US, AND BEGIN THE PROCESS OF FINDING GOD'S WAY TO WORK THERE. IT IS SORT OF A MINI "ABRAHAM JOURNEY" ALL OVER AGAIN.
TONIGHT IS BIBLE AND LIFE GROUP TIME. I WANT TO SAY AS PAUL WOULD TELL HIS PEOPLE....."I URGE YOU BRETHREN(AND SISTREN), PUT YOUR HEART AND SOUL AND MIND INTO MAKING COMMUNITY WORK. NOT JUST FOR YOURSELF, BUT FOR THOSE AROUND YOU."
ARE YOU PRAYING?
PRAY FOR ME AS I TRAVEL TODAY.
PRAY FOR A NEW PEOPLE GROUP.
PRAY FOR "SUM OF 10" AS THEY PREPARE FOR A BIG CONCERT SUNDAY.
HEY, ADD YOUR PRAYER REQUESTS IN THE COMMENTS SO I CAN KNOW HOW TO BETTER PRAY FOR YOU. I'D LOVE IT. LET'S BE PRAYING FOR ONE ANOTHER.
IN THE "LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY" SECTION:
AND I LOVE THIS STORY. RAN ACROSS IT IN MY DEVOTIONS TODAY:
A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.
‘That laundry is not very clean’, she said. She doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.’
Her husband looked on, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: ‘Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?’
The husband said, ‘I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.’
And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
THANKS FOR CHECKING IN.
LOVE YA'LL. YA'LL LOVE EACH OTHER.
